A-Fruits ‘n A-Nuts - As a nutritionist I'm often asked what I eat. Most days this is my 3 ingredient break-fast: 2 fruits, ⅓ cup nuts/seeds, 2 tablespoons yogurt/kefir and/or nut milk. And that just the most basic version. Endless variations of different fruit & nut combos mean it's rarely the same day to day, especially when I top it off with an extra teaspoon of dried fruit pieces such as cranberries, fig, date or apricot. Or add spices such as Cardamon or crystallized Ginger. About once a month  I indulge in some shaved dark chocolate to really perk it up! And only in Spring and Fall, something extra-special like the Dandelion flowers in the second picture 💐 This is the only fruit I eat all day, the rest is veggies veggies and more veggies! After water first thing in the morning, fruit for breakfast is one of the best ways to gently wake up and nourish your body and mind. ARE YOU A FRUIT FACE? Do you prefer fruit over vegetables? Of the recommended nine servings of produce per day, for every 3 veggies we should eat a maximum of only one fruit. It's common for most people to over eat fruit in relationship to vegetables. While they tell me that they think fruit is quicker and more convenient, the reality is that it's not  and usually boils down to some level of a sugar addiction. This is easily overcome simply by gradually decreasing fruit and increasing veggies. The more you eat them the more you will learn to like them, and eventually crave them like fruit. The beauty of our taste buds is that they are like our mind - reeducable. They can be trained to like foods that are good for us.
