SQUATS + DEADLIFTS 😍 W4D1 #buildprogram I mentioned yesterday that I'm now beginning a new training block within my program 🙏 This means all new exercises and all new challenges !! 🏆 For example .. in the previous block I was using the Stiff Leg Deadlift as a secondary movement (after my squats) .. but I have now replaced this with the conventional deadlift which will allow me to lift more weight (overload) and further increase the strength of my lower back (to support my overall performance) 💪 It's important to utilise different exercise variations in your training 💯 This will help prevent plateaus, weaknesses and even just boredom ✅ So bring on a new week and a new training block !! 🔥 These were the all the movements in today's session: 1. Low Bar Squats 2. Conventional Deadlifts 3a. Barbell Glute Bridge 3b. Single Leg Leg Press 4a. Leg Extensions 4b. Good Friday public holiday + early morning = empty gym = Happy Jo!! 😁😁😁 Second upper body weights session for the week from #buildprogram week 4 - chest + tris 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 Went up to 40kg for close grip bench for 7 reps, new PB!! . Feeling not so great on increased calories this week- I miss that strong lean feeling! But it’s all part of the process and I know my results will be that much better. We can’t be lean all the time can we??

All my life I thought I suck at sports 🥎 because the only sport we were doing in school was running 🏃🏼‍♀️ which I still do suck it to this day🤷🏼‍♀️ But this world is so much more then running and cardio❣️ I found powerlifting about a year and a half ago and fell in love🥰 I cannot explain it, how good it makes me feel, how light, focused, happy I am. Every aspect in my life had improved 🦋 And being able to eat more as a result of my metabolic rate going up thanks to the strength training? This is just a bonus🐳 Hope you are all doing the things you love today💕 and enjoying it😄
